How to style a slip dress

Hi! Alessandra here.
I love to wear our River Left nightgowns as slip dresses. Here are 5 of the looks I've been wearing recently. No one ever realizes it's a nightgown, unless they know me. Then there like, "is that one of yours?!" -- hahaha -- anyway, here are some cute outfits.

The Base
The dress is the Chateau Nightgown. Of course you can sleep in it but it also makes a great canvas for cute and classic slip dress outfits.
We intentionally picked a heavier weight silk to avoid the nightgown being too transparent. That's what makes it wearable for out of the house. It is also made from washable silk so you don't have to be worried about spilling on it.

Look 1
Sweatshirt + lug sole boots.
This look is perfect for walking the dog or running errands. I like going tonal with the sweatshirt so it elongates my body. But this would be cute with any sweatshirt.
That's my puppy, Copper.

Look 2
Blazer + fresh water pearls + classic loafers
This is a perfect WFH look. Way better than sweatpants on the bottom and much more comfortable than pants.
The pearls made me feel very Bridgerton. If only I had a pale blue blazer.

Look 3
Cream cable knit sweater + white sneakers + silk hair scarf + chunky chain necklace + patent structured bag.
This is probably my favorite look. It is perfect for brunch, WFH, and running errands. Switch the sneakers for heels and you've got a gorgeous date night look.

Look 4
This outfit is perfect for WFH or dinner. Add some tights and you have a lovely outdoor dinner look on a chilly night.

Look 5
Wool coat + neck scarf + knee high boots
Here is an ideal outdoor dinner look. The neck scarf is gives Emily in Paris energy to the look.
There are endless ways to style this nightgown. It's great that you can wear it as a slip dress to reinvent items you already have in your closet.
